L-arabinose is a kind of natural sugar extracted from corn cob and other plants. It has pure sweet taste and belongs to the non-available carbohydrate for the human body. It can selectively inhibit the digestion and absorption of sucrose in the small intestine and has the effect of "prebiotics".

Application
L-arabinose is a naturally-derived five-carbon sugar originally isolated from gum Arabic and found in nature in the husk of fruits and whole grains. Modern industrial production often uses hemicellulose parts of plants such as corn cobs and bagasse as raw materials. L-arabinose has a white needle-shaped structure, a soft sweetness, half the sweetness of sucrose, and good water solubility. L-arabinose is an unusable carbohydrate in the human body. It does not affect blood glucose and does not require insulin regulation after consumption.
Product Feature
Reducing sugar and GI: L-arabinose is a natural inhibitor of invertase in the human small intestine, which can selectively inhibit the digestion and absorption of sucrose in the small intestine, reduce the increase in blood glucose and insulin caused by sucrose consumption, and reduce the burden of the body. The addition of 5% L-arabinose to sucrose reduced the GI value from 65 (medium GI) to 52 (low GI).
Effects of prebiotics: L-arabinose can proliferate Bifidobacterium and other beneficial bacteria in the gut, promote intestinal peristalsis and promote defecation.
