Hyaluronic acid (HA) is a polysaccharide naturally present in human connective tissue, skin and eyeballs, with excellent moisturizing and lubricating properties. When this ingredient is extracted and purified in a high-purity, low-irritation form, it can be used in eye care products, called eye drop-grade hyaluronic acid, mostly in the form of "sodium hyaluronate".
